Give Your Grocery Budget a Break with these 6 Meatless Meals

Go meatless to save on your grocery budget

I love meal planning, I hate grocery shopping. I especially hate looking at my receipt afterward, unless there is some very careful planning and couponing involved.

I have learned that a great way to cut grocery bill costs is to minimize the amount of meat products you purchase. Don’t get me wrong, I LOVE a hearty meat-based meal or a juicy burger, but when you are feeding so many people it can really start to add up.

1. Mexican Lentil Tacos

This picture is seriously making me drool! Lentils and other legumes are a great substitute to meat-based meals. They provide a hearty source of protein and a great texture. You won’t even miss the meat in these tacos.

2. Pineapple Fried Rice

Fried rice is my jam! I love that fact that it is so versatile and you can add so many different things to it. This recipe adds a sweet twist with pineapple, YUM!

3. Greek Pasta Salad

Who says you can’t make a meal out of pasta salad! More commonly accepted as a side dish, if you wanted to keep this meatless, you could add some grilled tofu or another meatless side for a heartier meal.

4. Chickpea Vegan Curry

A great quick meal, especially if you have an instapot! Pair this with some rice or curried veggies for a larger meal.

5. Raw Broccoli Salad

One of the great things about salads is that they are so customizable! Also, they tend to be very filling! Things like carrots, broccoli, and onions are generally dirt cheap, so pile them on!

6. 10-Minute Baked Bean Pasta Sauce

Pasta is a great meatless option, it’s filling and CHEAP! When pairing it with a meatless sauce, it can really go the extra mile. It’s also great when making a meal for a crowd.
